What I Didn't Say
Around the moon and a single star we saw a ring You asked me to tell you what does this mean I said the moon and single star are you and I Surrounded by the promise of an endless sky What I didn't say was the sky would bring rain What I didn't say it would wash away the pain What I didn't say was the showers would renew So I could bring these flowers for you Patience; such a virtue, God smiles on those who wait Fools rush in but I'd be a fool if I chance to hesitate To tell you that the endless skies are painted different hues Each blended of the beauty and love I see in you What I didn't say was the sky would bring rain What I didn't say it would wash away the pain What I didn't say was the showers would renew So I could bring these flowers for you Around the moon and a single star we saw a ring Maybe I'm a fool who takes the chance to dream Of endless skies, maybe you and I and flowers in the mist Of paintings in the midnight sky and chance I can't resist What I didn't say was the sky would bring rain What I didn't say it would wash away the pain What I didn't say was the showers would renew So I could bring these flowers for you For you

I also didn't say the following: A halo around the Moon? This fairly common sight occurs when high thin clouds containing millions of tiny ice crystals cover much of the sky. Each ice crystal acts like a miniature lens. Because most of the crystals have a similar elongated hexagonal shape, light entering one crystal face and exiting through the opposing face refracts 22 degrees, which corresponds to the radius of the Moon Halo.
